Artist Laura Nevill is Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City’s Curator-in-Residence bringing a showcase of emerging artistic talents to visitors this summer.

UK Westfield centres are backing a campaign by artist Laura Nevill entitled #LetsDoLondonBetter, which aims to promote local artists, generate country-wide support for creative communities and support the arts industry. Throughout the summer, visitors to Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City will be able to view a host of artworks from over 30 emerging artists in an exhibition that mixes digital and physical works.

To support artistic communities, Westfield and Ocean Outdoor have donated a value-in-kind media and space package which would normally be leased at £1 million. The package includes around 30 key large format digital advertising sites and London’s biggest full-motion retail screen, physical stores and physical exhibition spaces, as well as support across its social channels.

The campaign kicks off with 34 artists selected by Laura to exhibit at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.

I was so honoured to work with @stratford_circus on creating a positive outcome of a sad situation due to the organisation sadly losing their NPO grant this year.

The Wind Down Zine was commissioned as a part of their Ending Well, to celebrate the impact of Stratford circus over the years. The zine, designed and illustrated by myself, features writings and artistic submissions from local emerging artists.

Since 2011 Stratford Arts Trust has annually delivered over 300 accessible and affordable creative performances and educational activities to 135,000 people. Stratford Arts Trust has offered a wide variety of productions and classes including theatre, dance, music, arts, creative writing, and circus performances catering for everyone.

Stratford Circus lives on through its legacy programmes including Blue Sky Actors, Eastside Educational Trust, and NewYVC Choir.
